For those of you who live in New Orleans and vacinity how do you feel about the Bad Girls Club being there? For those of you who have no idea what the Bad Girls Club is it's a reality show by the same people who came up with The Real World. They go to clubs, drink, make a fool out of themselves and fight. Do you have any concerns about the shows impact?

My former room mate dated one of those girls from Texas. Her name is Nadia.

Not really, girls here have been doing that for a long time now.

The house was actually here in Kenner and they spent a ton of time in small suburban bars - particularly several in Harahan. There was a small selection of bars in the Quarter they frequented as they were shunned from several larger places like Metro. Taping in the area ended back around Easter so the larger production element has been gone for awhile now. I don't think there's much of an impact. There will most likely be some buzz when it airs, but I doubt it'll be significant. The only way I knew they were here is that many people I know live in the upscale Kenner neighborhood where they had their house and people were fighting it. The "fuss" was hardly a murmur outside of the Chateau subdivision and/or Kenner City Council.

Unless someone's a show follower or involved with them in some way, there really wasn't any noticing they were here. It's no worse then the old "Girls Gone Wild" from back in the 90's. Heck, plonk yourself down at a club filled with younger people and thumping music on Bourbon for the night, stay late, and watch the same stuff unfold unscripted but with less attractive people.

I'm actually anxious to laugh at it and to see some familiar places and faces on TV.
