Janet Murguia, president and chief executive officer of the National Council of La Raza, stated that there could be up to 120,000 Hispanic workers in New Orleans which, according to the Census Bureau's population count would push the city's current population to more than 370,000.

The 370K sounds high, because you have whole sections of the city which haven't been rebuilt. And lots of people haven't returned, either/

La Raza would certainly not try to advance its cause by wantonly over estimating the number of Hispanics in New Orleans, that's silly.

I've heard it's more like 10-20%.
