I would agree with that assessment if you are talking about Deannie's in the quarter, but I would disagree if you were talking about the Bucktown location.

Mother's was closed which I guess is a good thing. Walker's BBQ is closed until 12/1 so not going there either. DH wants a muffaleta from Central Grocery for lunch. Not sure what I will eat there since I can't do grains, sugar, or dairy (except butter).

My wife and I were just in New Orleans a couple of months ago. The muffaleta at central is the best I've ever had. Get a half and then walk across the street and sit in the park. The court of 2 sisters brunch is fantastic. They have great service and food.
