I've always wondered why if people yearn for the days when people dressed up and went to Canal Street than why don't they try to live their lives like that. I purposefully dress respectably when I leave my house and especially when I go downtown in order to show that I am a respectable part of society.

Oh yeah that was even more shee shee pooh pooh than MB's, or I always thought so.

Actually, rcp11889, I've gotten into the wacky hose trend and have found myself in skirts just to show off those loud colors and patterns. I don't know about respectable, (no one will ever say I'm a lady), but it's dressier than jeans and a tee.

I am VERY glad that we no longer have to wear hats and gloves (and stockings held up with garters!) to go shopping or step onto a plane nor even to church!
(Yes, I'm over 50!)
