It makes sense because you don't learn basic driving rules and laws in motorcycle class. As far as I know you need to have a driver's license to get a motorcycle license.

So basically I have to have four days off from work to do the drives lessons and then the test, then another four days off from work to do the motorcycle class? Altogether spending a total of $750 just for the lessons themselves?

It's just odd to me because in the UK you do not need to have a driver's licence to ride a motorcycle. You need a motorcycle license. Which teaches you everything about being on the road, traffic signals, speeds, everything you would learn as a driver of a car expect on two wheels. They must do the same here.

No, you need to get a normal drivers license and then get the motorcycle endorsement added onto it. That's what I had to do.
