I currently live in CENLA, but I got a job offer in NOLA and Galveston.

The NOLA job is 3 days a week, 8am-8pm

I love New Orleans, and would love to work there, but I really want to live in a town on the Gulf. I know Galveston is on the Gulf, but I love New Orleans.

Is there any towns that would be practical to commute to New Orleans to thats on the Gulf? Would it be practical to travel to New Orleans 3 days a week from Bay St. Louis, MS or Gulfport?

You'd be talking about an hour-long drive, assuming that the job is in the city itself.

If you lived in Slidell, you could be 30 minutes from both New Orleans and the gulf coast!

If you really want the beachside experience, I would lean towards Bay St. Louis. But why not just live in New Orleans and then go to the gulf on weekends? There are plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities on the South Shore.
