Hey there. Was hoping to get some ideas from y'all for my trek tomorrow. My girlfriend and I are staying in River Ridge, and looking to come in sometime in the morning. We're prepared for the rain, but beyond that I'm trying to figure out what what we're going to do for...

Transportation
- Want this to be as stress free as possible, so I was thinking maybe a cab from where we're staying? I hear it's about $33/trip. But is there maybe a more cost-effective approach?

Food/Entertainment
- We're hoping to maybe find a decent restaurant (FQ, Uptown, whereever) that has some kind of package that would allow us to have a "spot" where we can kind of base ourselves for a while. We're willing to get wherever we need to be as early as needed.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.... Thanks

A cab would probably be the most stress free option, especially if you plan on drinking a good bit. Their are some major parades on Saturday, so the transit system will be a little wonky to say the least.http://www.norta.com/_meta/files/Rid...as2012-Eng.pdf

The Quarter would be a good place to hang out when the rain comes. It's supposed to rain bad earlier in the day tomorrow There are plenty of places to duck into and a lot of the sidewalks are covered by balconies so you won't get soaked. Even if they end up cancelling the earlier parades, which is likely, you'll still have plenty to do in the Quarter.
