Is there any limit to the hours that the streetcars and buses run or do they operate 24/7 to accommodate late-night partiers?

^ NORTA's website has an interactive feature with the buses and streetcar times and stops.

The St. Charles Streetcar is the only one that is 24 hours and LOTS of people take it late at night during big party weekends.

Thank you, rcp11889!

So, if I understand correctly, you're out of luck if you don't live where that streetcar is going and if you do, it might take awhile to get there with the car making frequent stops. Taxi!

It goes along St. Charles, so if you're not going Uptown for the night you're screwed. Because taxis are expensive..

Thanks, annie_himself!

I was second-guessing my last post, so I appreciate your confirmation of my understanding of the situation and my expectation that taxis would be expensive.

The Canal Streetcar is almost 24/7. There's a gap from 3-6am.

The Broad and Tulane Buses run till 2am on the weekends.

Hmm....I might be able to work with that, at least sometimes. And the Canal Streetcar would go to Mid-City, right?

Would the St. Charles Streetcar go to Bywater? On the map, I lose track of St. Charles St. at Canal, where it seems to morph into Royal St. as it goes north.

The St. Charles streetcar ends at Canal St.

The Canal streetcar goes all the way out to City Park Ave.

Check out the RTA site, they have detailed maps and timetables : Maps & Schedules
