SInce I have been gone for quite a while, I didn't answer you. But seeing as how no one else has, either, here goes: when I lved there the hip-hop clubs were not upscale, they were more of the neighborhood bar type. Things might have changed.

Ampersand? Never been, but it's supposed to be the most upscale dance club, FWIW.
