I liked New Orleans better way than Baltimore but I would probably not live in either city. The people in New Orleans are more party orientated, welcoming and friendly to tourists than East Cost Cities. I have always have a blast in the French Quarter and on Bourbon St and always got the impression that the citizens of New Orleans wanted tourists to have a good time and they were thankful that you were visiting their city post Katrina. I love New Orleans.. its one of my fav cities to visit.

I was talking with someone from Baltimore last night and he said that the good/bad areas are a lot more clearly defined in Baltimore. He really didn't seem to indicate any similarities either.
