We will be in New Orleans at the end of April, just for a weekend. We like Central Grocery for Muffellatas, and Camellias Grill. We need another Cheap place to eat that is decent. Can be a diner, pizzeria or other "American" type food. Husband not into ethnic food. Also, preferable not a BAR that serves good food. Want walking distance in the FQ or off the trolley line. What are your recommendations?

Also, any good Snoball places in the area? Will any be open at the end of April?

Why would you eat "American" food in New Orleans?

Daisy Dukes is good for breakfast. They have specials that are price worthy.

Snowballs- Plum Street snowballs, off the streetcar in Carrollton- but the problem is the streetcar line is being repaired, not sure it will be open.

There's a good pizza place called Slice on St. Charles Ave.
