A big one for us is having two full bathrooms so we can both get ready for work at the same time an don't have to get up way earlier. We are not morning people and already have to get up at 5 am to get to work.

I'm really concerned about safety. Trying to rent an apartment with security, including an alarm system is an arm and a leg, so it needs to be safe. Mind you, nowhere is completely safe, and I know this.

Why would you need a separate alarm if you lived on an upper floor in a large secure complex or building like this?

American Can Apartments

That may cut back on some expense. This place is just an example, and its in a pretty quiet location. But there are others. One thing I really like about apartment living is that you are generally NOT right up on the street, opening your front door to the entire world. You have to go through a lobby that often has a manned desk and a security key for residents to get to your also secured unit. But that lifestyle isn't for everyone.

I forgot to mention that I need a place that will accept my cat. She's a good girl, and I won't leave her behind no matter what.

American Can is gorgeous but I can't find anything that says they will accept my girlie.

I think they take pets, but its probably with a deposit. I looked there myself when I was relocating. I have a bird, and they were willing to take that without a deposit.

Try Gravier Place, the Preserve, the Saulet, the Esplanade at City Park...I know that many of them are pet friendly. You are typically okay if you don't have a large dog.

Have you heard anything about Relais Esplanade, Sawmill Creek, Hickory Creek, Clearwater Creek and Riverview Villas? They seem to have good reviews online but some of those reviews are really old. They all have things like alarms.
