Other stadiums have had power outages.
There was one in San Francisco in December 2011. Stadium Goes Dark
There is no better place for a Super Bowl than New Orleans.
The Dome is in the perfect location and still has some good years left in it.

Even with the blackout, I guarantee you every one of those attendees had a much better time at this year's Superbowl than they would ever have had in a place like Houston.

I would be remiss if I did not say that the stadium obviously has some issues that need to be addressed, the proof was in the pudding just last Sunday.
You said it, I'm right.

You're right, I forgot about that.

Or Miami Gardens, Arlington, Meadowlands, Indy, Glendale, Tampa, and Jax.

Everybody was drunk anyway. I didn't matter if the lights went out.

Of course we will get another super bowl. People can hate on New Orleans all they want but the FACT is there is NO PLACE that can throw a BIG PARTY like NOLA and I mean NO PLACE.

The Superdome is fine, and there's really no room to build a new one anywhere near the downtown area without tearing the dome down first. Not gonna happen. Did you hear that it was built over a graveyard? Kinda creepy!

I don't know of anyone who blamed the city or even the dome itself for the blackout. It was a sh*t happens moment. It's only a matter of time before NO gets to host the Super Bowl again.

Entergy accepts responsibility for Super Bowl power outage | New Orleans - WDSU Home

Entergy accepted blame for it. It was their equipment that was at fault it seems.
