My wife was displaced to Denver by Katrina, and after we met, she has introduced me to the magic of New Orleans. We'd been down there a few times together in the past two years, but this was my first Mardi Gras. I had an epic, amazing, special experience! We caught Endymion, Bacchus, Zulu, and Rex parades. We dressed up and went to MOMs Ball until 4:00 AM. We partied for hours at Razoo and BBC on Lundi Gras, and threw beads from a balcony on Royal St. on Mardi Gras day. We loaded up two full carry-on bags of beads, cups, dubloons, etc. on our flight out back to Denver.

It was very special to me, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all you locals of New Orleans for showing this guy a good time.

My first experience of Mardi Gras was magical as well!! I still tell stories to all my friends. I'm coming down for St. Patty's this year and moving officially to NOLA in January.
