Does anyone know if there is a realtor out there that assists with rentals? I am moving there in a month and need helping finding a house to rent with my dogs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Remember you cannot post realtor names so send a DM to the OP.

We've been apartment-hunting in NOLA for almost a month. I recommend starting with Craigslist, but always always check the Google Street View (which, remember is going to be outdated, but will give you an idea of neighborhood) and the New Orleans Police Department crime map. The latter is an eye-opener. In NOLA, one block can be great and the next scary and it's patchwork all over. As for realtors, if you want to live Uptown, you might check the Tulane University's off-campus housing guide. There are several realtors listed there that the university trusts enough to post for their students.

Finally, we found a couple of places on airbnb that were listing their rooms/apartments/houses nightly, but were willing to consider long-term tenants.
It's a hard problem, but if you have a car and are flexible on where you can live it gets a lot easier.

The street views were recently updated. There are still some anomalies though where you'll zoom in on a house or pan down a block and get a shot that's several years old.

Street views in the Bywater and Marigny are still shortly post K. The aerial shots are updated, but not street views.
