Hello everyone,
I am moving to New Orleans this summer to attend Tulane SOM. My preference is to live in an apartment complex because I think these will be safer than a house. Is this generally right to assume?

The apartment complexes I am considering so far:

1. The Saulet (Lower Garden District)
2. The Preserve (on Tulane Ave, Mid City)
2. Crescent Club Apartments (on Tulane Ave, Mid City) Does it matter that this is close to the NOPD?
4. The Muses (few blocks from St. Charles) Is this close to "Central City"?

Which complex would you say is the best to live in overall? Safety and cleanliness are my top priorities. Would you suggest any other complex? Thank you!

You have them in almost the right order. The Saulet would be my first choice in terms of safety, location and ammenities. The others are as follows.

1. Saulet
2. Preserve
3. Muses
4. Crescent Club

Thanks for the response rburnett! Appreciate it! Just wondering - I see you live in New Orleans. How long have you been living in the city?

My wife and I decided The Saulet was the best for us - being that we aren't very familiar with New Orleans but want to live in the city. We looked at several places in each of the major neighborhoods before settling. We'll be moving in at the end of May and couldn't be more excited.
