Looking for an inexpensive place that has monthly or weekly rates. I would like to stay around $1000 (+/- $300) for the month. I realize these places are usually 2-3 star type of establishments so not looking for more. Just want someplace to store my luggage / sleep / shower while I look for a more permanent location. I thinking about staying a few months in Las Vegas before moving to NOLA and found places like this, but couldn't find any information via google for NOLA of a similar situation.

Looks like th studio 6 in New Orleans east gives you a full kitchen for 36$ for a monthly stay.

Thanks. I read the reviews on Google for them and I think that's even below my standards (and I live in a shack in the jungle) lol. I telecommute so need a reliable internet connection and that seems to be an issue there. I may just have to go with a regular hotel and jump into a situation where I rent a room right away (was trying to give myself some time to be choosey before getting locked into a lease to find the right spot).
