The places we wanna stop by are in these areas over the course of a week :

- Uptown, Bywater , Treme , Lee Cirlce , Claiborne & MLK

- Freret , Holiday Dr. & McArthur & West Riverside/Touro

- 7th Ward & Mid City , Espalanade & N Broad

- The FQ too but its not the priority

Should we rent a car or just take buses and cab it ?

This really depends on where you're actually staying.

Easy Transit - Uptown, Lee Circe, Mid City

Ok Transit/Car - Bywater, Espalanade & N Broad

Car/Infrequent Transit - Holiday Dr. & McArthur & West Riverside/Touro, 7th Ward, Freret , Treme, Claiborne & MLK

Walk/ Easy Transit - The FQ

Take the bus to Mid-City, streetcar takes you to FQ, St. Charles line takes you upriver on Carondolet, which takes you to Lee Circle and eventually the rest of Uptown up to Carrolton.

All that is at Holiday and MacArthur is a grocery store and some houses... If you want to see Algiers, take the ferry from Canal St. to Algiers Point.

Looks like you're going to need a car more than you're not. Make life easy and rent a car. You can just park it for the areas you wont need. Easy peasy...
