Relocating within the next 6 months or so. Family member is a musician and would be spending a lot of time playing in the Quarter/Frenchmen. Looking at property in different places, like Lakeview, Audubon, Bywater, etc. (another conversation). Wondering whats the best way to get around past midnight besides a taxi? I realize you can drive pretty close to the action on Frenchmen, etc., but is that the way or is it easier to have another means of transportation?

I guess my question really is, how do I get to either one of the big parks (area) after midnight? Thanks

SOME buses run till 12-1am (Tulane, St. Claude, Magazine, etc.), the Canal streetcar line runs till 3am and the St. Charles line runs just about 24/7.

I'm not sure how much equipment he/she has, but if you're spending a lot of time on Frenchmen, Bywater would be a short bike ride away. I know some musicians that travel light and are able to bike to their gigs.
