i lived in BR for college.. traffic was bad but they told me it was bad because of us/katrina people who moved to BR.. the last time i was there they were working on EVERYTHING which i thought was unnecessary because i thought the roads were fine

You must have stayed on campus all the time. Our road network is absolutely pathetic and put together like a child. It was bad before Katrina but it was noticeably worse for about a year after. The contruction you are talking about was probably the Green Light plan which is still in its last phases.

well this is true .. my university had everything you could imagine from a mini supermarket(but walmart was right there), to a full gym, etc when i did leave it was only to go to perkins rowe, the mall, my family (who lived off of highland rd) or home. i did ONCE or twice travel with my car to other parts and talk about traffic and terrifying..so i mostly road along with someone. one of my counselors was even killed on the way to work with the terrible traffic
