One day the two big cities will grow together. Louisiana has never been a fast growth state. It has spread out, but not grown in population as quickly as other southern states. And I think that's a good thing. I like going back to Baton Rouge and seeing the stuff I knew in the 80's. It may be abandoned now, but it's still there.
St. Tammany (Covington, Mandeville, Slidell) is part of the metro, Washington and Tangipahoa are part of the CSA.
