People also go to the lakefront. I don't think swimming is allowed or safe but it's saltwater!

Thanks Annie_himself I just want to be able to get near an open body of water. I've never been near salt water.

You know what mwahfromtheheart, I'm going to love exploring the many waterways around the city. When I visited in 2009 I saw the swamps from the Amtrak and was blown away. I had never seen anything like it. Seeing new places, exploring new cities is one of my passions, which is why I love travel.

If you move here, I can put you in touch with a statewide transgender group. I also know plenty of transgender people in the NOLA area. Just give me a holler, okay?

There has been an increase in the reported number of murder cases of transgender women this year. Has there been any indication of an increase in violence against transgender women in New Orleans? As you all know this is a very serious issue and any information that you have and wish to share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
