Just to clarify, I don't think anyone is saying that Amazon would move here because of the nightlife and culture. That was brought up as an example of why young people would want to move here IF the jobs were here. I think everyone who lives here can name several reasons why they might not choose New Orleans. A good example is the boil water advisory we've been under the last couple days. I don't think I ever heard of those until I moved here. I love this city and can live with those inconveniences, but I don't know if Amazon could.
