hi...i'm kinda in a pickle. my fiance and i are getting married in two weeks in new orleans and our minister that's officiating our marriage is from florida. we're completely confused on how to get him registered so he can perform our ceremony in new orleans. we've talked to different people and have gotten different answers.....? does anyone know if

1. he just brings his papers and registers at the same office in metairie that we are getting our marriage license at.

2. if he must send his stuff in advance

3. if he can waive the 72hour waiting period or if we must still go to the courthouse to get it waived

4. if there are any working numbers that we can call. we've tried 504.838.5100 / 504.219.4610 but no one seems to pick up.

thank you so much and we really appreciate all the help we can get. thanks!

I know nothing about getting married here, because things have chanced so much since I got married back in the 80's. We had to have a blood test back then! I found this number to the Algiers Courthouse, (504)368-4099, on this website, New Orleans Wedding and Marriage License Information. I'm so sorry you've gotten several different answers to the same question. It seems to be the way of life here. I hope your pickle is resolved soon.
