I was born & raised in NO but relocated to upstate NY years ago...I beat Katrina by 20 years. I have a great job here & will retire in about 10 or so years. I have often thought about returning to NO in my golden years. I know it's far into the future, but what are your thoughts? Or, is that just an unrealistic pipe dream & should I focus on Florida?

It's probably not a bad idea, especially as I do see a lot of retirees about town, particularly Uptown.

Thanks for the encouragement. Hopefully the city will be back 150% in 10-12 years when I am ready to retire. Too bad about Al Copeland. I remember during my senior year of high school (1975-76) we were allowed to leave campus. We frequently went to Popeyes where at that time one could purchase a two-piece for $1.04.
