I had heard that New Orleans is planned to have a Trump Tower built.
Does anyone have any information about this project? Hope it becomes a reality. The city needs it I guess.

It doesn't need it but might be ok to see.

Its on Magazine and Poydras but outside of a ton of signs no groundbreaking yet.

I don't think it belongs in NOLA. But here's a link none-the-less. Not sure about any groundbreakings though. There was speculation about it last summer, and they haven't started yet, so who knows.

When I was in town for St Pats - a local told us that many of the apartments have already been been sold, but at over $1 million each he doubted that any of the new tenants are from the area and are most likely investors buying into the Trump name.

--I think there are other price level apts in the development both lower and higher but this is just what I was told.

I thought the thing was stalled because of some historical buildings. Then again I haven't been paying much attention to the situation so what do I know...

Oh well, I have my own building to do; today is seal and grout day, (ugh). Later gators

It's going to be built in a parking lot, I think the overall condo market is stalled so they want to get a good bit of presales before they start such a project.

I was watching something a few years back where a reporter ask Mr. Trump about him building a a tower there. They ask as though it was already in the works before the Hurricane. The question was if he was going to continue with his plans of building the tower and he said yes. This was in 2006 I believe.
