Can someone explain why did the mayor of Kenner decide it was in the best interest to ban Nike gear from booster clubs at Kenner recreational facilities apparently in response to new Nike ads featuring quarterback Colin Kaepernick? If you thought South Louisiana wasn't racist think again.

Kenner has more pressing concerns/problems and this is what he chooses to concern himself with. Hopefully he'll be fired.

I live in Kenner and they are turning a blind eye to Kaepernick while many others have been fined and reprimanded for other causes, like Tim Tebow when he wore black glare shields under his eye and helmet that said, John 3:16. And other football players who wore things on their unform in honor of Police Officers that were killed in the line of duty, breast cancer awareness, and domestic violence. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/is...ely-portrayed/

I can. The mayor is taking a stand against thugs that disparage America, and a manufacturer that endorses that behavior.
Racist? Kaepernick is a loser. He's black, so being a black loser is racist?

We're taking up a collection to put up a big statue of mayor Zahn in Kenner's town square.

Your comment on white hoods was vile. When football players paid tribute to the mass murders of Police Officers that innocently died in the line of duty, like the single Mother of three children below, the players were fined. They were also fined for tributes to, 9/11, Breast Cancer Awareness, and Mental Illness, yet they have turned someone who is radical and a supporter of Castro, into as hero. As a woman who is half Spanish and Creole, I support law enforcement that forsake their own safety to try and make a change. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/05/n...-shooting.html

The Snopes article explains the nuances that you neglected to mention. The NFL has a strict uniform policy and does not allow apparently even slight modifications. Kaepernick's protest doesn't involve altering his uniform.

I don't think the mayor of Kenner won't allow Kaepernick's own shirts. https://www.bizpacreview.com/2018/09...ice-tag-673004
