There are other places amoung Louisiana to find Ole' 1800 style homes. Leaseing is high of those apartment I know for sure over a grand a month for someone I know. But, if you go ont the outskirts you can find the ole style and even ole remodeled homes for less.

In terms of architecture the neighborhoods around the Quarter like Treme and Marigny both have a level of Creole urbanization from that time period. The Marigny is quieter except for Frenchman but there are a lot of artistic people there.

The Freanch Quarter is approx. 14 Blocks(Canal St to Esplanade Ave) by 10 blocks Rampart st to the River...There is NOTHING in the USA that looks like the FQ, but if you went to France or Spain you would see many FQ's.

There is only 1 french qtr,the one in New Orleans.
Europeans do not have Creole and Creole cuisine.
