Hi, does anyone know anything about the apartments in Metairie called Gatehouse? They are near the Galleria. Also what about the area just west of Lakeside mall? Good, bad please help moving soon!!!

My great-aunt lives in Gatehouse. We like it and have considered moving there ourselves if/when we return to the New Orleans area.

The area west of Lakeside mall to Division St. is known as Fat City. There were popular night clubs in that area in the 70’s, but today it is mostly seedy bars, convenience stores, and run down apartment complexes.

Thanks so much, it has been so hard trying to find a place that is clean, nice and in a a safe family friendly neighborhood. We are currently looking into Wilshire Heights.... seems good so far. If you have any suggestions or ideas
please let me know. We will be moving in about a week and a half. All info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much, it has been so hard trying to find a place that is clean, nice and in a a safe family friendly neighborhood. We are currently looking into Wilshire Heights.... seems good so far.
