Hi All,

I wanted to visit New Orleans on Halloween this year. Calendar says it falls on a Monday, October 31st. Does this mean that most of the celebrations and Parades will be held on a prior weekend (Oct 28-30th) or the following(Nov. 4-6)?

Thank you in advance!

Yes, there are parades, such as Krewe of Boo.

I think Voodoo fest is the weekend before Halloween this year so that would probably be a good time to come. Even if you don't go to the festival, it will spill into the Quarter after it's over each night. Halloween night should be crazy even if it's not on a weekend. Maybe come on Friday and stay until Tuesday? I don't think there will be any celebrations on the weekend after Halloween, but I could be wrong.

Yep. It ain't Mardi Gras, but it's a fun parade. I'm not sure when it is this year though.
