I am coming to NOLA this week for an engagement photo session (I am the photographer) and I have never been there and have no clue where any places to start taking shots would be...

Any help would be much appreciated, espically since I have no clue where to even start looking for beautiful places in NOLA...

Thanks much!!!

Geez, there's literally hundreds of places that would work but it will depend a lot on what moods you're trying to create.

The most obvious is probably the French Quarter. In particular Jackson square with the St. Louis Cathedral, the Cafe du Monde, horse-drawn carriages and the French Market all right beside the river as a backdrop within about 100 yards of each other. From there you could find a nice courtyard because many of the buildings have them.

Also, city park would be a good area with it's natural beauty of 100 year old oaks, lagoons, etc. You probably would do well to find a good area down St. Charles in the uptown area. There are some beautiful oaks and estate homes as well with the streetcar as as backdrop.

I suggest you look around at some New Orleans photography studios online and try to identify where the pictures on their site are for the ones you like.

City Park still has a lot fo oaks but so does Audubon PArk, which is Uptown. If the couple went to Tulane, then the campus has some pretty spots.
