Lusher school district (New Orleans: lease, how much, neighborhood)

So we're breaking our lease cause our neighbors drive us insane.
We keep seeing everyone laud the fact that they live in the Lusher school district off Maple and near the universities.
I've been to a few of the bars on Maple and really like it over there.
Anyone have any further info on that area they'd like to share?

Anyone who regularly reads the board knows how much we HATE our neighborhood. I had to kick people off my stoop THREE times yesterday and once already today. I'm sick of it, I pay to live here and when I say KEEP OFF, I mean it. As much as I want to listen to someone give explicit detail on "their itchy trigger finger" or who's got "dat fire ass weed", I'm beyond over it. I don' t to live like that any longer, I'd like to be able to sit outside and read and not hear cars blasting systems as they roll past.

Otherwise, if you know any other areas that you'd advise, I'm all ears.
Keep in mind, we're staying IN New Orleans, not going to the West Bank or Metarie.
