Long day! We started out taking pics of the house, backyard, and neighborhood. We then took a ride up to Canal St. and then it started raining. We ended up shopping, going out to eat and catching the Saints game at a bar, (no decent reception at the house), so I'm tired and will post what I loaded on the computer this morning. I'll save the rest for tomorrow, (got some cute little snowmen on the neutral ground and some yards).

SD the last time it snowed was on Christmas day in 04'. I'd guess on average it will snow a little bit about once every 5-10 years.

We got a good blanket in my yard in Baton Rouge. About a 4.5 inch blanket in the front. Not much in the back because of my live oak, which collected enough on the branches to lose one good sized limb. My mother-in-law in Pointe Coupee got a good bit more in her yard than in ours, though.

I hope y'all are okay, you guys aren't used to driving in this stuff. You are lucky though. Maine got nearly 200 inches last year (winter total)

A few pics from Hammond on the NorthShore.

We received between 6 - 8 inchs of snow. Some of it is stil laying on the ground. Totally insane, but what a fun day it was.
