I think he lives in Miami now. He is in the city fairly often. He stays at CP3's apartment (chris paul)

I personally love Lil Wayne. His music touches a bunch of different people.

Lyrics like these make up the greatness of Lil Wayne's music.

To any haters.. you must look at how Lil Wayne describes life's struggle and how his hard work and determination got him to where he is today:

Yeah, when I was fourteen I told my mom we will see better days.
And sure enough I got Ms. Cita in a better place.
When I was fourteen I told my mom we will see better days.
And sure enough we did exactly what I say

Also, Lil Wayne's Grammy performance put N.O. in a good light.

People around New Orleans treat Lil Wayne like a tin god because he is the only halfway decent rapper that has come out of New Orleans and made it nationally in a while. People around here love a "home grown hero". It has nothing to do with his songs or lyrics. If instead of Lil Wayne, some guy from New Orleans got famous by banging pots and pans, EVERYONE would love him too. People just wanna "rep their city"
