Hey all-so I need some help here. I'm an actor in los angeles. I get work, etc, make a living. I'm sick of this town. I hear New Orleans has an ever-growing film community, and I'm thinking of moving there. I'm single, no wife/kids to worry about, I just want to get the hell out of L.A., but still continue to do what I do(film/tv/voiceover work). So: what area would be the best place to live for $900 a month or less? I'd have some work already, as I said I do VO work, have a semi-regular gig and can do it from NO. Also, I've been looking at the talent agencies down there, which, for those that know, is the best? this would be for theatrical(film/tv) only, as I would keep my L.A.-based Voiceover agent. any guidance would be really appreciated.

Hmm Well I would venture...and I know very little about the film industry other than the movie trucks I see all over town and occasionally running into a known actor here and there...

Uptown you should be able to find something around $900 pretty easily. I don't know about agencies...I have friends who have done the extras thing but that's just minimum wage flunkie stuff.
