I am in Huntsville, AL. Currently, it is 77 degrees with 52% humidity. The sun is shining and there is a slight breeze. Typical October weather in mid-August. We were just talking about how nice it would be to be in New Orleans on a day with weather like this.

So, what is the weather there today?

It was in the mid 80's today---quite nice. Low humidity as well. They just said on the news that kids in the Northern Suburbs should wear jackets for the bus stop tomorrow for school as it is supposed to be in the 50's. Upper 60's tonight for New Orleans, but, it's nice and dry. I'll definitely take this in August!!

I walked to lunch in the CBD and normally that's just...painful.

Very Very nice day outside! Feels like Fall.

Mother Nature: More please...

Reading your replies makes me even more homesick. Thanks! Keep me posted. I'll be home in mid October.

Oh man! I went out to feed my Outback Cats and for the 3rd day in a row,(76 degrees and a soft fog), it is just lovely. Too bad they say it's going bye bye. Still, highs in the upper 80's for today sure sounds nice.

It has rained in north Alabama daily for the past two weeks. I plan to be in the city in early October. Please, please let it not be raining. What's the weather like today?

Well, stepping outside I'd say warm, humid, and partly cloudy, but I couldn't tell you what the temp or rest of the day will be like. Sorry, I didn't catch the news this morning.

I'm hearing rumors that it's going to be a colder than normal winter, (ugh). Anyone know if this is true?

What is considered normal winter temps these days? I've seen some days years ago when then wind blowing off the river made me think I was up north somewhere.
