We will be in the city for Thanksgiving. Our son will be joining us from California. Please recommend some nice places to have Thanksgiving Dinner. The meal does not have to be traditional Thanksgiving fare, but we would like to go to a nice resturant with business casual dress/atmosphere.

Pleasee share your experiences. If it were just my husband and I, a "Lucky Dog" would be fine, but we would like this to be a nice experience for our son and whomever accompanies him on this trip.

We had gone to the Palace Cafe for Thanksgiving a year or two ago and were not impressed. Usually the Palace is great, but we thought we paid way too much for an average dinner. Still, it was nice to not have to cook and do dishes, especially since I was going out of the country early the next morning.

great link from Drou (I had looked on nola.com without success). I would suggest to the OP to call ahead for reservations, since it's likely that some of the more popular places could fill up. those look like some yummy menus!

Yes, Drouzin, thanks for this link. It gave us some suggestions. We have always liked Ralph's. We are also considering Court of Two Sisters. does anyone know if they will have a special menu. Seems like they used to have a buffet somewhat like their Jazz brunch, but dinner.

Also we would like to eat later than 3 or 4. coming from California, our sons time clock is different from ours.

We'll be eating at Court of Two Sisters for the second year in a row. We love the courtyard and the food is pretty good. They also do good cocktails. We make reservations. It's also casual for Thanksgiving so you can either dress up or dress down. We prefer jeans (loose LOL).
