I have been to New Orleans before and I had some trouble finding a good neurologist for my son with epilepsy and also finding physical, occupational, and speech therapists. Can anyone please help me? My husband is down there working and I would like to be able to move back there but I have to find good care for my son. I'm sure other people have children with these problems. I will drive to Westbank, Northshore, etc. as long as I know there is a good place to take him. Can someone PLEASE help me???????? Thank you!

We used to live in NOLA pre Katrina. Our daughter has special needs. Our neurologist was Stephen Deputy at Childrens. Unfortunately after Katrina, most of our other specialists and therapists left. So did we. We now live in Colorado and couldn't be happier. Good luck in NOLA, but honestly, I think it is one of the worst places to receive specialized care. I would think twice if I were you about moving back. Sorry for the news, but I'm just telling you our actual real life experiences. BTW, Our pediatrician was Dr David Estes I would highly recommend him!!!
