Hi,

I want to cover a wall in fabric and would appreciate suggestions on where to buy fabric (or sheets) in NOLA at a reasonable price, preferrably somewhat near the garden district. We don't want to drive to Target

If sheets will do how about a Dollar store I know there is one on Carollton Ave or the Wal-Mart's on Tchoupitoulas? Then there are the junk/flea market type shops where it is like a garage sale 7 days a week, (and who doesn't love those, got my K&B Beer can from one). The only thing is that you probably won't find matching sheets.

I know you don't want to drive, but I've gotta share that I got a bargin at the FABRIXX outlet, (Mandeville or Covington, I couldn't tell you which it is I just know it's on Hwy. 190) a few weeks ago; 12 yards of $16 a yard fabric for $6. I can't find 4 ceiling to floor curtain panels anywhere for that price!! I don't know about anyone else, but I sure miss that $1 a yard fabric at Wally World, I've gotten so many costumes and Ren garb out of that it's not funny.

Nice! I love to find bargains like that! I've made a note of the FABRIXX outlet and will likely recruit a friend to drive me there if I don't find something on my own. I truly hate driving on the interstate. I found the Walmart on Tchoupitoulas and I must say that's the biggest flippin Walmart I've ever seen! My stars! Thanks, Drouzin!
