Hello. We may be moving to NO and would be working at the LSU hospital. I am trying to find out what safe, visually appealing, family-oriented, etc... suburban neighborhoods are within a decent commuting distance. Also, what school districts are considered top-notch? Thanks!

Thanks.
WE don't mind up to a 30 min commute time. But since we are so unfamiliar with the city we have no idea what traffic is like.

Are there any good public schools or charter schools? I've been searching and finding little positive. Even Big Ben and Baby Ben seem to be falling short.

Metairie Academy is excellant. It is on Metairie Rd, just a few blocks from the parish line. You should be able to find a rentas in the area. www.GreatSchools.net (http://www.GreatSchools.net - broken link) for ratings.
