I didn't know you were looking toward beautiful Louisiana!

I'm weighing Lafayette against Bossier City, but at this point I think I'm leaning toward Lafayette as I know the culture in northern LA is very different from the south.

It wouldn't be bad being a few hours from New Orleans next Mardi Gras

Hi ReluctantGardenStater. Just wanted to let you know that the culture of northern La is very much southern. Very similar to Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Texas depending which area you are in. It is southern La with the exceptions of the Florida Parishes which are truely "southern" which is very different from the rest of the south. However, alot of the landscapes of south La are what you think of when you think southern. Moss draped live oaks, plantations, alligators, etc. We will be very happy to welcome you and njkate to Louisiana.
