hot sausages on french.
walking on moldy sidewalks under live oak trees
hangovers and yakamein
dodging homeless people on elysian fields
playing miss the pothole
school children in plaid and ties
that golden glow that comes through the oak trees
viewing the city below from the bridges early in the morning
the saints
traffic lights that constantly lose pieces and stop working
shrimpzilla
I could go on all night.

We will be returning home this summer. Of all the things worth missing, of which there are many, I miss springtime crawfish boils with my whole family the most.

When we lived in New Orleans, one of the best feelings for me was that I could walk and see something different everyday. Even if I walked the same streets and neighborhoods daily something was always changing, the people, the plants, something. I love New Orleans and can't wait to move back next year.
