I don't know if anyone said Katrina or Betsy yet. How about Zydeco, Yat, Zatarain, Copeland, Delgado, Zulu, etc.

Hey y'all, just thought I'd post an update on the puppy. The kids did a veto on just about every New Orleans name we came up with. I guess we should have bought a male puppy as the New Orleans boy-ish names are endless. Anyway, we went with one I figured made sense to yell out in the darkness of the night...STELLA!! After "A Street Car Named Desire." It wasn't as "New Orleans" as we had hoped, but it's still a good one. Thank you for all of your input, it was so fun to read through the names with our family and I'll have to hang on to the list incase we get a cat one day, lol. Thanks again!

Lol, actually the Tennessee Williams Festival is going on right now and on Sunday there will be the Stella and Stanley yelling contest. I'd say the name is spot on!

Female: Metarie. Yeah, it's a 'burb. But I think it sounds very feminine.
LaVeau (for the voodoo priestess).

Hurricane (am thinking primarily of the drink).
Audubon.
St. Louis (for the cathedral... or the cemeteries).
Treme'.
Bourbon.
Natchez (riverboat).
Doctor John.
Sazerac (another signature drink).
Neville.

DO LET US KNOW WHAT YOU CHOOSE.

And, if all these fail, there is always. . .

Are you ready for this. . .?

LUCKY DOG!
