Hey all!

We are getting a new puppy next week. It's a female and I want to name her something very New Orleans. Any thoughts on a name?

fun thread. I got plenty but will leave it open for others, how bout "cherie" (a common girl's name, pronounce sheree
...if it's bull dog, you could name her Tchoupitoulas (CHOP-it-TOO-luhs) and nickname her "chops"

then there's always Tipitina('s) (club on Tchoupitoulas)...ok, I'll stop (for now)

We had a black Lab we named Chilly Gentilly but since he was sooooooo greedy and destroyed everything in sight, we renamed him Dutch Morial.

Since it's a girl, you could name her Nola.

Or how about Jazz?

Blueberry.

Sorry to butt in but every time I think of New Orleans I think of Fats Domino and Blueberry Hill. "course Domino would be cute too but being a female she might not appreciate Fats.

How cute. When I was a little girl my grandma (originally from New Orleans) had a little black cocker female that she called "Mam'zelle". I believe it's patois for Mademoiselle. We called her "zelle" for short.
