Before I start... I'm posting it in this forum since Elmer's is a New Orleans company, and it seems a bit regional.

But besides the deliciousness of Gold Brick Eggs, does anyone remember when Elmer's made the different little bunny rabbits with the different flavored fillings? There was strawberry, cherry, pineapple, coconut, vanilla, chocolate, maple nut, among a few others. Whatever happened to those?? Those were always my favorite, and I looked forward to getting them every year! I know I live in Nebraska now, but I seem to not be able to find them anywhere...even back home!

I did, believe me, and all they have are gold bricks, heavenly hash, and pecan eggs..at least on the website.

Now those are good too, though I don't necessarily want 72 gold brick eggs shipped to me for $134.95

I have a memory of the chocolates with the pineapple, maple nut (not my fav), strawberry, cherry, etc., but I recall them being egg shaped. Then again it's been over... Well let's just say several decades. I haven't seen anything like that in years. Have you tried checking out the Whitman's stuff for something like that?

Awww, you brought back Easter 1972, for me. Yellow organdy dress, biting into the maple nut egg thinking, "yuck" and the most awesome plastic blow up bunny ever!

Haha. I found the Russel Stover's stuff up here, and that'll be ok...though I'm missing cherry and pineapple flavors...those were my favorite besides strawberry.

www.BuyLouisiana.com is selling Elmers Eggs. I emailed them and they sent me some of the Gold Brick Malt Eggs. They are also now making dark Chocolate eggs as well. The flavor filled eggs were the best. Hadn't seen them in 30 years. They were the best!
