Seeing as how I recently graduated from Tulane and money is in short supply...does anyone know of no contract month to month gyms in town...or Metairie would be ok as well.

Not really. I think most need you to commit for a certain period of time. Hey, look ill buy some equipment and put it in my back yard and you can pay me a dollar everytime you use it buts seroiously I'm not sure the last gym I went to was anytime fitness I think was what it was called but they had a contract for liek 6mos some may do 3mos but then again I'd call around instead and ask, it may be more expensive month to month per month than having a contract.

Default Gyms

That then begs the question, is/are there any gyms that someone will recommend?

The Hilton Health club in the Hilton Hotel Downtown is the best gym in the city. If you choose the month to month option you will have to pay a higher registration fee. It's super nice. Indoor tennis courts, indoor basketball courts, indoor volleyball courts, free towels, hot tub, locker rentals, virtual golf, racquetball courts, massage service, beauty parlor, off-street covered parking (would park in the Hilton and go downtown for lunch, dinner or the aquarium) really nice staff and free towel service. Ask about the matinee membership (when I was member I think it was 40-50 bucks but you only had access mon-fri from open to 5 or 6). I would post the phone number but I don't want to get another infraction. Hope this helps. If you call make sure you ask for Gary and let him know you were referred by Abraham.

One more thing: you also have access to the hotel pools.
