Hi, don't know how much you known about the Nycha process? I viewed an apartment on 11/07/11 and paid my deposit, when I called to check if apartment was ready, they said they will call me to pick up keys, how long does it take for repairs so I can move in? (min-max) thanks in advance and godbless, my slum lord is harrasing me for the rent

I see you have two threads in the same forum so I will answer you.

It can take forever for an apartment to be ready. They can be very slow or very quick dependent on the condition of the apartment.

It is up to NYCHA and I strongly advise you to continue to pay your rent to your current landlord until they contact you when they are ready.

Good luck and be patient.

Continue to pay the slumlord.

My best guesstimate is a 1 month max for repairs.

It would be nice if the Janet Perezes on the website took the time to put some closure on their questions.
