Yes they will start the interview process this year but nobody will move in until next year. I've been through this process before it's a slow one. But some management work faster than others so might be a chance. I hope I get in I live fairly close.
I don't have CB preference for this lottery but i do fit into the income bracket so I went ahead and applied. Just checked the Housing Connect Website and the Lottery is pending. Good luck to everyone who applied! I hope i get a low enough log number to be called in for an interview!
Yes I saw today that the lottery pending. Hopefully they post the log numbers soon. I don't want to get to anxious like I did before. I really want to move so my fingers are crossed.
Well, we have two sets of people complaining about these lotteries. Those claiming they NEVER cater to super low income people in the 40 and 60 AMI and those claiming they NEVER cater to Middle income 80-100-and 120 AMI. I've noticed being in multiple lotteries over the years that those of us in the 80% AMI are usually the ones excluded. Someone needs to a do a investigative content analysis of this, and not that Atlantic Yards troll over on that website bitching and moaning about Pacific Park. He is wrong on SO many things he posts and he REFUSES to let anyone post comments even tho there's a comments section!
But yes it does seem more are geared toward 60%, but some go as high as 160% (which I find particularly absurd, but i guess the developers want higher income people in the units that qualify for tax breaks for them).
The whole system is convoluted and everyone winds up feeling like it's not fair except the lucky few who win these units and then even then (read the threads) they still complain about having to walk DOWN a flight of stairs to do their laundry :/
How is the 80-120 AMI bracket being overlooked when they have 10 (1 bedroom) units for people making between 43K - 66K? That range seems to encompass a significant amount of middle income people, IMO. The only place we were left out was with Studios, but either way its still a good deal with the 1 bedrooms.
80% income bracket is always ignored in the housing lotteries. Yes I may have a BF and live with him but what if I didn't want to and wanted to apply for one of these apartments on my own. I would probably be over the income limit because the 80% income bracket is always ignored.
And of course the two of us together we are over the limit so that puts us out for this one. I see that building from the bus to work everyday. I applied because I've never lived in a new building and what the hell. But I have had low log numbers before and have never had an interview so I'm not holding my breath.

problem is that 10 bedroom is going to people with CB
probably one or 2 isn't
while people below that bracket have so much options to choose from
