This may sound crazy.... but

Hypothetically speaking....

lets say you win two lotteries for two different buildings...

can you keep both? esp if you can afford the rent... or can you rent the other 1 out?

i mean you can win the actual lottery twice.... is this different. i'm curious

You can’t keep them both. To get the second one, you have to give up the lease on the first one.

According to the Marketing Guidelines, any apartment you win through the lottery must be your primary residence. By definition, you can have only one primary residence. You are required to surrender the lease on your previous apartment.

This is on page 57 of the document:

6. PRIMARY RESIDENCE
1. If approved for an affordable housing unit, the applicant must surrender any unit where applicant is then currently residing. Each member of the applicant’s household who leases rental residential real property must terminate the lease for and surrender possession of such rental property on or before the move-in date for a rental affordable unit or the date of purchase for a homeownership affordable unit.

Uh. Because it's against the rules of the government body which made up the laws establishing these opportunities in the first place?

People never cease to amaze me.
