Right. It could probably takes weeks or months until I actually move in so I’m not going to take the chance.

I would wait. You may have signed a lease but technically you have not occupied the apartment at all or for 30days. I believe there is a 30day clause when renting that makes your lease breakable(?) until you actually occupy and do so for 30days. I'm not sure if that's changed over the years but I'd look into it. For example you can back out as well be cause you have not occupied the space yet.

The management did contact me to send in the same documents just to make sure everything was the same because they are getting the certificate this week So lucky I took the advice and didn’t quit lol

How long after HDC approved you did you sign the lease? Or how much longer did it take them to finish the building after you signed your lease?
